This weekend saw me visit a venue that I always find fantastic for weddings, The Alma Inn Laneshawbridge is a place that really lends  itself to a very special day. And this Wedding was no different.
It was my pleasure to be asked to perform for Steven & Louise on their special day, the party got off to an early start with 3 little angels on the dance floor requesting some early up to date dance tunes, a childrens set at the start of the evening sometimes gives the parents a little breather from a long afternoon.
Around 8pm I gathered all the guests into the main room and welcomed in the wedding party to the sounds of fun songs, we went straight into the first dance which on this occasion was Yellow by Coldplay, I sang the first dance and have to say really enjoyed it.
The night really kicked into gear later on when I played some classic 90’s dance tunes, it seems some of the wedding guests used to go to a place in Burnley many years ago called “Savannah’s”, which for Burnley folk is a place of legends and just happened to be one of my old haunts growing up so I knew just what to play to keep the dancefloor packed.  Quite big at the moment are the songs from the Big Reunion so I played the old FIVE Megamix and some tunes from the show, I couldnt resist a little bit of Ant & Dec aswell which really brought out some slick dancemoves, well maybe not..haha
My final live singing set began with “Dont Look Back in Anger” which as usual had the dancefloor packed and the guests singing with me at the top of their voices and Steven & Louise hidden away right in the middle of them, singing along too.
I think the night as a whole was a complete success and Mr & Mrs Dole seemed thoroughly happy with the evening, and at the end of the day if the bride and groom are happy then so am I.
I would just like to wish Steven &  Louise all the very best for the future and thank them for allowing me to be a part of their special day and to keep in touch!

I was delighted to be asked to perform for Kris & Ashley on their special day, a Mytton Fold Wedding is always a special occasion and once again this one didn’t disappoint.
From the fireworks to the fantastic wedding cake, the casino tables to the chocolate fountain, this wedding had it all, not only that but the guests were really up for a party, please check out the video below, I decided to take lots of little snippets throughout the evening and share this with you all.
One of the most memorable moments in the evening was when I sang “You’ll Never Walk Alone” for Kris, however one of his many friends happened to be a hardened Manchester United fan and didn’t take too kindly to the song, I managed to appease him though by playing a good old United tune straight afterwards, and everyone was happy.
“Heaven” by Bryan Adams was the bride and groom’s first dance song and a what a fantastic choice it was, and always is as I just happen to love this song!
One thing that sticks in my mind from this Mytton Fold wedding was the odd song requests, I really hadn’t heard of some of these songs however I just happened to have them on my DJ system.  I have to say some of them weren’t my cup of tea, but they certainly did fill the beautiful glittering dance floor.
It really was a pleasure to perform for Kris & Ashley, and I would like to wish them all the very best for the future.
