Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of performing in front of 900 guests at The International Centre in Telford for the annual conference of The Cambridge Weight Plan.
First off, I’ve got to say that the venue most definitely had the WOW factor it was amazing, I also loved the fact that the evening was also a masquerade ball, I’ve done loads of these over the years and I just love them. One thing that I found quite quirky was the photographers. They were dressed in 1950s style like true old paparazzi and for me they added that touch of class as guests arrived.
It was also great to meet up with the lads from the band Made in England. I have fronted the band once or twice over the years and its always good to get together, there’s nothing quite like singing in a band, its just a different experience from being up on that stage alone, I love it.
We opened the night with a bit of Robbie Williams “Let me entertain you”, honestly this packed the dance floor and from that moment on it was just plain sailing, and the crowd were fantastic it was just mental. The highlight for the set for me though was a rocked up version a classic Tom Jones song “Delilah” everyone had their hands in the air and were singing along at one point I jumped off stage and left the lads to it, I always like to have a dance with the guests, I just can’t help myself!
All in all it was a great night and a job well done, for me now it’s the busiest time of the year, so many great festive functions to do and in 4 weeks I’ll be jetting off to Hong Kong for our annual New Year’s Eve gig.
And have a great Christmas.
