I had a wander into Clitheroe this afternoon to visit an old friend, I also took the opportunity to pop in and visit a couple of my other friends and their fabulous new Wedding Stationery & Wedding Design Shop.
Nicola & Mark are quite simply two of the most down to earth people that I have come across in this business, and whilst they have a fantastic product they are also well an truly grounded people who are very successful at what they do.
Feeling slightly guilty that I wasn’t there for their Grand opening in January as I was away on holiday, I thought that I would pop in and say hello.
Once I had coerced Mark into making me a brew he then took me upstairs to see Nicola in the boudoir, sorry office! and hiding behind her Apple, there she was in all her fine glory.
Nicola & Mark provide some of the very best wedding stationery in Lancashire and along with fabulous Wedding Design I would highly recommend you checking them out, you can find a link to their website here Brides Little Helper brideslittlehelper.co.uk

Today I had the pleasure of performing at the Fence Gate Wedding Fayre in Burnley.
A local venue that I know quite well, despite the bad weather there was a good turn out, with lots of excited Brides & Grooms looking for something special on their big day!
The fayre was run in conjunction with the Burnley Express who are part of Johnston Press.
The catwalk show was provided by The Lancashire Wedding House a local company based in Burnley.
As always it was nice to meet up with friends on the day most notably Nikki from Hayley Louise Photography and Frank (aka) Frank the Harp, sounds like a Gangsta 😉

  3. Towneley Hall Weddings Fayre

Last Sunday I attended the Towneley Hall Wedding Fayre organised by Little White Books.
The fayre is always a favourite of mine as it’s a place as a child that I used to frequent, I’m a local lad to the Hall you see and from school trips to family days out, Towneley Hall was always a popular destination.
However today it was all about work for me, as usual the hall was packed out with prospective Brides & Grooms looking for that special something for there big day!
From Huge Love Letters to cake makers to some of the North West’s Photographers, the day had it all.
I was particularly fond of the Love Letters provided by Letter in Lights, I loved them!
It’s always a great place to sing and every-time I do it, I find it a complete honour to sing in the main gallery at the very top of the hall, fond memories as a child of this room always gives me a lift prior to performing and today was no different.
I was also pleased to see some familiar faces on the day such as Jenny from www.jennymartinphotography.co.uk whom I have to think for the images below and Lindsay from www.lindsayashtonphotography.co.uk
I always like to meet new people and it was great to meet Ryan and his lovely partner from Executive Events  he helped me out on the day and provided the music in between my singing sets.
The catwalk on the day was brought to us by Rachel Lancashire Wedding House helped out by the lovely Anita from thefauxweddingcakecompany.co.uk
And last but not least I would like to give a special mention my friend Hazel who in conjunction with her friend has set up a fabulous small cake company that is simply stunning to say the least, check them out here.2scompanypopcakes

  4. Gibbon Bridge Hotel Wedding

The wedding of Mr & Mrs Miller at the wonderful Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Chipping.
John & Janet are simply lovely, I had the pleasure of being there right
from the start of the wedding for the ceremony which was held outside on
    the bandstand in glorious sunshine.
In the prelude leading up to the ceremony I entertained the guests with a
few swing songs to whet their appetites.
The bride and groom followed closely by members of their family made their
way slowly down the steps towards the bandstand to a beautiful rendition of
A Thousand Years by the Piano Guys.
Once the ceremony had concluded and the registers had been signed they both
made their way back up the steps as the new Mr & Mrs Miller followed by
family and friends to the sound of Radetzky’s march.
The day from then on was all about the food, the drink, the laughs and the
entertainment, and that is always where I come into my own. I don’t think
anyone knew exactly what to expect from me but as usual I didn’t disappoint
and managed to entertain everyone right from the wedding breakfast through
until the end of the evening. One of my favourite moments from the day was
when we all sang You’ll Never Walk Alone, John must obviously be a
Liverpool fan to have specifically requested it, the song has a personal
significance for me and its always a pleasure to perform.

I would just like to say a huge congratulations to John & Janet and to wish them all the very best for the future x

  5. Accrington Golf Club Wedding

Saturday evening I performed for Mr & Mrs Turner at
Accrington Golf Club, Jamie & Chris had recently been married in Cyprus,
so the evening was arranged for family and friends to help them celebrate.
They were a lively bunch in a few ways, in particular there were proper
lads, and filled the dance floor to anything by Oasis, being a Manchester
Wedding Singer and myself being a big fan too, I was only happy to sing
    them a few tunes.
One of my favourite moments from the evening was when the father of the
bride (Martin) had his special dance with his daughter, whilst it’s a
beautiful thing to witness, I can only imagine the emotions involved,
Martin then kindly handed over to Chris for the first dance of the evening.
I made sure I didn’t leave out the Mother of the bride either as she was a
huge Bon Jovi fan, I sang her a couple classic Bon Jovi hits.
After a very memorable evening I would just like to wish both Jaymie &
Chris all the very best for the future and say a big thank you for choosing
me to sing on their big day.
