What a weekend that was, 3 fantastic weddings back to back, yes we are in Mad May and for a Yorkshire Wedding Singer and as always it’s a very busy time.
Friday saw me over me at the 900 year old Grays Court: a beautiful little venue in the centre of York Minster for the Wedding of Mr & Mrs Howell. Upon arrival the atmosphere was electric, the wedding breakfast was in full swing, Paul & Jane (Bride & Groom) were central to it all.
I set up in a separate room to the bar area but this didn’t have too much of an affect upon the evening, everyone was simply up for a party.
Paul & Jane were keen to remind me that they had booked me from listening to Mr Bojangles on my website and simply falling in love with my version, so I sang it for them and made it a very special moment in the evening.
From the first dance right through to me serenading the bride on more than one occasion, the party never stopped, I love it when you get a bunch of great people like that in one room and they just party, there is nothing quite like it.
