Some weddings are elegant, some are heartfelt… and then there are the ones that are pure, unfiltered chaos (in the best possible way). Brooke & Joel’s big day at All Hallows Church followed by their reception at the Shireburn Arms in the Ribble Valley falls firmly into that third category and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
The celebrations kicked off at All Hallows Church, and I could tell straight away that this wedding was going to be special. Even in the church, the guests were singing along to the music like they were at a gig.
Usually I have to give a little encouragement to get people warmed up, but not this lot, they were on their feet, clapping, singing, and fully behind Brooke & Joel from the very first note.
That kind of energy makes such a difference. When everyone joins in, the atmosphere shifts from “nice and polite” to “absolutely electric” and it set the tone for the rest of the day.
After the “I dos,” it was over to the Shireburn Arms, one of my favourite wedding venues in the Ribble Valley. Tucked away in the heart of Hurst Green, the Shireburn Arms has that perfect mix of rustic charm and modern hospitality.
With stunning countryside views, a cosy yet stylish interior, and a team who really know how to look after couples, it’s no wonder so many people choose it for their big day.
I’ve hosted and sung at weddings all over Lancashire and beyond, but the Shireburn Arms always stands out. It’s one of those venues that feels warm and welcoming while still being big enough to handle a proper party — and trust me, this crowd gave it everything they had.

Now, I’ve heard a fair few wedding speeches over the years, but Chris (father of the bride) delivered one that deserves its own Netflix special. He had the whole room in stitches, a mix of heartfelt moments, perfectly timed one-liners, and just enough cheekiness to keep everyone on the edge of their seat. Honestly, he could go pro as a comedian.
It was the perfect balance of humour and love, and you could see just how proud he was of Brooke. A proper highlight of the day.
As for the bride and groom? Brooke & Joel are what you’d call “total party animals.” From the first dance right through to the evening, they threw themselves into every moment. No holding back, no worrying about who was watching, just pure joy, laughter, and a bit of cheeky chaos along the way (let’s just say there were some things that don’t happen at every wedding, but it all somehow worked).
The guests followed their lead, and before long the dancefloor was packed, the energy was sky-high, and the Shireburn Arms was rocking like a festival tent.
I had the pleasure of being both wedding host and singer for Brooke & Joel. That meant keeping everything flowing smoothly, from introducing the speeches, to setting the tone during the meal, to cranking up the energy for the evening party.
One of the things I love about working at the Shireburn Arms is how well the space works for live music. Whether it’s a romantic ballad during the wedding breakfast or a full-blown singalong during the day, the venue lends itself perfectly to creating those big moments that couples remember forever.
And with this crowd, it didn’t take much, they were ready to party from the get-go.
When I think back on Brooke & Joel’s wedding, a few things stand out: the singing in the church, the comedy-gold speech from Chris, the stunning setting of the Shireburn Arms, and the non-stop energy from the bride, groom, and their guests.
It was wild, it was fun, and it was unforgettable — the kind of wedding you talk about for years afterwards.
Brooke & Joel, thank you for letting me be part of it all. What a day. What a party. 10/10. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Wayne came highly recommended from those who had seen him at a previous wedding and said – If you want an all round, great singer, fun host and energy filled day, we needed to look no further.
From the moment we booked him we knew we were in for a treat!!! We didn’t even want to look at his work beforehand as we wanted it to be a surprise on the day and wow, we were not disappointed!
From the very start Wayne had the party going, making sure every guest felt part of the day. Our guests were singing along in church, up dancing between courses & the smiles and laughs we had throughout this part of the day were down to Wayne and his incredible talent!
He was fun, friendly, upbeat, and honestly made the day flow so effortlessly. And even better, he has an incredible voice to go along with his bubbly personality!
Throughout the whole planning process he was a dream to deal with, and on the wedding day he completely blew us and our guests away. We couldn’t have wished for anything more.
So many people have told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and we know Wayne was a huge part of that! He brought the energy, the laughter, and the unforgettable atmosphere we’d always hoped for. Our guests are wild, and Wayne definitely catered to that.
We can’t thank you enough, Wayne, you truly made our wedding day the best day of our lives. Thank you!!!
