Wedding Photography & Hosting in Lancashire

This is what happens when Wayne William Photography meets The Wedding Host Wayne Farrow. One person capturing your wedding, hosting the day and bringing the live entertainment when the time is right. No swapping between different suppliers. No awkward handovers. Just one person who gets to know your guests, keeps things moving and captures what happens along the way. Photography, hosting and live entertainment. All in one.

Wedding photography meets live entertainment

There’s a big advantage to having the same person doing both.

By the time we get to the wedding breakfast, I already know your wedding party, I’ve met your families and I’ve probably had a bit of banter with half the room.

I’m not a stranger turning up with a microphone halfway through the day.

I’ve been there from the start.

That makes the hosting feel much more natural. I know what’s been happening, I know who’s who and I can work alongside the venue to keep things moving without making everything feel overly organised.

And because I’m also your photographer, I’m already watching for all those little moments happening around the room.

Then we can go straight into “And then I start singing…”, where the surprise, confused faces and everyone getting up dancing belongs.

And then I start singing…

This is probably my favourite bit.

By this point I’ve been around your guests for hours. I’ve photographed them, had a laugh with them and generally become part of the furniture.

Then at some point during the wedding breakfast, I pick up the microphone and start singing.

The reactions are brilliant.

Some people clock what’s happening straight away. Some look completely confused. And there’s usually at least one person looking around wondering why the photographer has suddenly started belting out a song.

Before long, people are singing along, getting out of their seats and the wedding breakfast has turned into something nobody was expecting.

And that’s the whole point.

And yes, I’m still taking photos

This is the bit people always ask me about. How can you photograph the wedding if you’re hosting and singing as well?

Because I’ve been doing this a long time, and I know exactly when I need a camera in my hand and when I need a microphone.

Even during the wedding breakfast I’m still watching what’s going on, picking the cameras back up and capturing the reactions, the dancing and everything happening around the room.

The photography doesn’t stop just because I start entertaining.

And if you want even more coverage, there’s also the option to add a second photographer, giving us another pair of eyes and another angle on everything going on.

Basically, I’ve got it covered.
